Summer’s special days

13th October 2024

What a lovely summer we have had of visits, walks and meetings with our friends. We enjoyed walks including to Branscombe, the Donkey Sanctuary, Budleigh Salterton and Heron Farm: always followed by delicious tea.

We had a splendid ride on the Memory Tram from Seaton and then there was our joint summer party with Honiton Memory Cafe. Again, the venue was the beautiful Tracey Estate; the weather was perfect and we were entertained by the talented Cameron Lemmer. And, of course, the tea was delicious!

We have been lucky this year to have regular visits from Sidmouth Museum whose volunteers  bring us all kinds of reminiscence materials.  Hats have definitely been the favourite and triggered lots of discussion.

In September we were delighted to be awarded the Quality Assurance Mark for our work and organisation.

Our work is continuing to create a Dementia Friendly Sidmouth to support everyone living with dementia, and their families, in living their best lives.
