New website!

20th February 2014

The new Sid Valley Memory Café website will be ‘launched’ on Wednesday 26th February at the ‘Moments in Time’ Celebration Evening at Sidmouth Library.  The new website follows on from the ‘Sidmouth Memories’ website, initially set up to share reminiscence stories about living and working in Sidmouth with a worldwide audience.  Since launching in July 2013, ‘Sidmouth Memories’ has had 1342 visitors to the site, with the most popular page being the one dedicated to people’s stories of growing up in Sidmouth.

The new website will not only be the new ‘home’ for the hundreds of reminiscence stories – but it will share information on the Memory Café, upcoming events, a photo gallery, a news section, an area of the site showcasing the supporters and funders of the Memory Café and a page to enable people to make an online donation to the work of the local Memory Café.  You will also be able to download the ‘Moments in Time’ Memory Book – a forty-page record of members’ Sidmouth memories – and find out how to reap the therapeutic benefits of reminiscence at home.

The new web address will be www.sidvalleymemorycafe.co.uk.  Please make sure you call in and visit the site soon.
