Generous Sidmouth Cricket Club hosted a Memory Cafe tombola at the Devon CCC versus Hertfordshire match on Sunday May 17th.
Rain stopped play a few times, but didn’t dampen the enthusiasm and good will of the cricket fans who gambled their cash with us. And it was worth it for some – Jackie, (pictured), scored three prizes.
Despite the weather and lack of cricket we were delighted to raise £247 on our tombola and it was a great opportunity to chat to locals and guests about our valuable work in the Sid Valley. We always need volunteers so if you can offer even just a few hours a week then do please get in touch.
